As Kaiou Michiru (“deep sea king”) in the Japanese original, Michelle is a talented musician, adept at playing the violin. She and Amara (Sailor Uranus) initially work independent of the other Sailor Soldiers. It takes time before the tension between the pair and the others mends.
Michelle is the name is used in the North American dub. However, since I had not seen those episodes before Jupiter’s Gone was started, the Japanese name (Michiru) was used. |

Sailor Neptune possesses the powerful “Deep Submerge” attacks and a magical mirror. She is usually partnered with Sailor Uranus, and they worked together with Sailor Pluto to stop the rise of the Silent Messiah (Sailor Saturn). While they disagree with Sailor Moon’s methods regarding Saturn, they eventually grow to respect her.
In both the manga and anime, Sailors Neptune and Uranus are romantically linked. However, in the North American dub, they are turned into cousins (leading to some interesting dialogue). The romantic link has been kept in Jupiter’s Gone, although the relationship does not play a huge role in the story. |
