Rini (Chibi-Usa or Small Lady) is the future daughter of Serena and Darien. She was sent into the past initially by Sailor Pluto to find helpful for a besieged Crystal Tokyo. Later she returns to complete her training as a Sailor Soldier.
Rini’s arrival complicates things for everyone, but particularly for her parents. She and Serena compete against each other constantly for Darien’s affection. The strife eventually spreads to Serena’s family and to the Sailor Soldiers. However, Rini is not a bad person. She befriends the lonely, older girl Hotaru, who has been shunned by her peers at school. Even when it is clear that Hotaru is the dangerous Sailor Saturn, Rini refuses to abandon her friend, a trait similar to her mother. |

Rini fights as Sailor Chibi Moon. Alone, her powers are pretty weak, usually only annoying her opponents. However, she and Sailor Moon can combine their attacks.
In Jupiter’s Gone, Rini is now an adult and is the heir to the throne of Crystal Tokyo. She is called to take her proper place as a Sailor Soldier, becoming Neo-Sailor Moon. She and Hotaru still have their friendship. And like her friend, Rini is romantically unattached and has no children. |
