Scylla is a twin, the minutes younger sister of Dido. She and her sister grew up in a rural village hours away from the capital. While they were poor, they had a good childhood.
One day, a mysterious woman comes to the village. The woman, she later learns, is Cassandra, the leader of the Guardians. It is a meeting that changes Scylla's life forever. As a Guardian, she is entrusted with the protection of Princess Amalthea. The two quickly develop a deep relationship. When Amalthea returns after a months long absence, Scylla must push aside her feelings and answer the call of duty. |

Scylla is the Guardian of Mercy, wielder of the Sword of Sorrows. She has empathic powers, allowing her to sense the emotions of others. It is these powers that serve as her weakness. Amalthea as Empress Hecate uses it to turn Scylla against the other Guardians. Each time the change grows easier. And the Guardian of Mercy as an enemy is a powerful and dangerous one. |
