Jupiter's Gone Glossary [Authors Note: This glossary will cite specific books and chapters relating to the characters listed below as Book X, Chapter x. However, to shortened some of these citations, a second citation from the same book will just list the chapter. Appropriate stories from Chronicles will be cited as Chronicles: Story Title.] Adam the husband of Ilene and the father of Adrastea. He appears in Book VI, Chapter 1. Adonis the prince of Cignus and heir to the throne (Book V, Chapter 1). His twin sister was Amalthea, who later emerged as the Child of Darkness (Chapter 9). Dido, the Guardian of Compassion, personally protected him. His parents sent him to Crystal Tokyo during Hecates attack (Chapter 8). He took the name Logan (Chapter 10) and later married Lita, producing Leda. He died when Leda was young and under mysterious circumstances (Chronicles: Frightening Possibilities). Adrasee Adrastea. Adrastea the daughter of Ilene and Adam. She is also known as Adra. She is mentioned in Book VI, Chapter I and later appears in Book VII, Chapter 9. Alcyon the Guardian of Harmony. Alexander the husband of Caitlyn and the father of Thebe. He is mention in Book V, Chapter 4 and appears in Book VI, Chapter 5. Alvin the healer that Scylla worked under during her training, using her to cure a case of the Redolarian Sleeping Curse (Book VI, Chapter 3). Amalthea the princess of Cignus and twin sister of Adonis. She was protected by Scylla, the Guardian of Mercy, and was training under Werla, a healing sage (Book V, Chapter 1). She and Werla disappear (Chapter 5). Three years later, Amalthea returned as the Child of Darkness and called herself Hecate (Chapter 9). She searched for Leda as the Child of Light and later attacked Jupiter (Book IV, Chapter 3). She was defeated outside the Jovian capital by Leda (Chapter 9). Ami the Princess of Mercury and the wife of Greg. She is also Sailor Mercury and mother of Camilla (Book III, Chapter 4). She initially appears in Book II, Chapter 2. Angeline the daughter of Mina and Michael of Venus (Book III, Chapter 5). She is Sailor Eros (Chapter 9). Artemis the feline guardian of Mina and later the other original Sailor Soldiers. He is the husband of Luna and the father of Diana. He appears in Book III, Chapter 9. Atalia daughter of one of the more powerful dukes of Cignus. She aligns herself with Hecate in order to get Adonis but is unsuccessful (Book V, Chapter 7). She reappears in Book II and confronts Rand and the girls (Book II, Chapter 5). She is defeated by Neo-Queen Serenity on Jupiter (Chapter 10). Aylire a familial clan of Cignus. Its member are gifted storytellers who can immerse their listeners into their tales (Book VI, Chapter 9). Benedict see Martin, Benedict. Caitlyn the oldest daughter of Lita and Rand Treavor. She is Sailor Callisto, using the powers of the nighttime sky (Book I, Chapter 1). She is married to Alexander and has a daughter, Thebe (Book V, Chapter 1). She appears throughout the series. Camilla the daughter of Ami and Greg of Mercury (Book III, Chapter 4). She is Sailor Boreas (Chapter 9) and followed her mothers footsteps by studying medicine (Book VII, Chapter 2). She is close to Leda and Elara. Carina see Essou, Carina Cassandra the Guardian of Hope and the leader of the Guardians of Cignus (Book V, Chapter 2). She initially appears in Book II, Chapter 1 and appears throughout the rest of the series. As the Guardian of Hope, she receives visions of the future (Book V, Chapter 2) and is able to travel through space and time (Chapter 6). On Cignus, she was an advisor to the king and served as a liaison to the Moon Kingdom (Chapter 1). Much of her past is unknown (Chronicles: The Call of the Guardians). Cassea the true name of Cassandra, the Guardian of Hope. However, the legend has degenerated into a half-forgotten legend over time (Book VII, Chapter 3). Castalia the Guardian of Truth and aid to the courts of Cignus (Book V, Chapter 3). Celod the true name of Duthbert, who serves as a spy on Jupiter for the Shadow Moon Empire (Book VII, Chapter 5). Charity see Martin, Charity. Charon Plutos moon and the site of the Jupiter Sailor Soldiers first battles (Book I, Chapter 4) and the first defeat of Nadomus (Chapter 10). Also, it was where Nadomus took Leda to meet Hecate after her kidnapping (Book IV, Chapter 2). Child of Darkness the twin born to the House of Light and Love that turns to evil. After disappearing, the Child of Darkness returns to Cignus and attacks. The Child of Light can only defeat the Child of Darkness. Explained further in Books IV and V. The latest Child of Darkness was Amalthea/Hecate. Child of Light the only person capable of defeating the Child of Darkness. The Child of Light is a female descendent of the twin born to the House of Light that is not the Child of Darkness. Explained further in Books IV and V. The latest Child of Light was Leda. Chronus the King of Cignus and father of Adonis and Amalthea. He was killed by Hecate (Book V, Chapter 8). Cignus the term refers to the habitable planet of the system as well as the system itself. The history is rather lengthy but most of it is unknown. The Guardians of Cignus appear in Book II and continue throughout the series. Much of the information can be found in Book V. Clytie the Guardian of Love and married to Hyperion, the captain of the royal guard of Cignus (Book V, Chapter 3). She and her husband die during the attack on Cignus (Chapter 8) Cross, Galen a doctor at the hospital in the Jovian capital (Book VI, Chapter 1). After Ilenes illness, he aids Elara with the patients at the palace (Chapter 2). The two are currently romantically involved (Chapter 7). Crystal Tokyo the home of Neo-Queen Serenity, King Endymion, and Rini (Book I, Chapter 1). Cynthia the feline advisor sent by Neo-Queen Serenity to watch the Jupiter Sailor Soldiers (Book I, Chapter 1). She is killed on Charon by a Grayson (Chapter 6). Darien Tuxedo Mask and the younger King Endymion. He appears in Book II, Chapter 3. Darion Uleis cousin who attends her birthday celebration (Book VI, Chapter 9) Diana (cat) the daughter of Luna and Artemis. She is the feline guardian of Rini. She appears in Book III, Chapter 9. Diana (human) the daughter of Rei and the twin sister of Phoebe (Book III, Chapter 6). She is Sailor Minerva (Chapter 9). Dido the Guardian of Compassion and the twin sister of Scylla. She was entrusted with the protection of Adonis and was in love with him (Book V, Chapter 1). Along with her sister, she is an outcast among the clans of Cignus (Book VI, Chapter 9). As the Guardian of Compassion, she is entrusted with the portals of space. She has a strong emotional connection with Scylla. She first appears in Book IV, Chapter 3 and appears throughout the rest of the series. Duthbert the elderly castle advisor. He has served under both Lita and Leda. He first appears in Book I, Chapter 3. He disappears along with Scylla in Book VII, Chapter 2. He later assumes his true form as Celod back on Cignus (Chapter 5). Dylan the husband of Lysia. He appears in Book VI, Chapter 5. Elara the youngest daughter of Lita and Rand Treavor. She is Sailor Europa, gifted with healing powers (Book I, Chapter 1). Her talisman is the Stone of Hope, given to her by Cassandra (Book II, Chapter 10). She has had a long series of unsuccessful relationships, usually dumping the guy unexpectedly. She is currently involved with Dr. Galen Cross (Book VI, Chapter 7). She appears closest to Leda and Camilla of Mercury. She appears throughout the series. Ella Uleis mother (Book VI, Chapter 9) Endymion the ruler of Crystal Tokyo (and the Sol system) with his wife, Neo-Queen Serenity (Book I, Chapter 1). They have a daughter, Rini (Book III, Chapter 9). When he was younger, he was known as Darien/Tuxedo Mask (Book II, Chapter 3). Essou, Carina Captain in the Shadow Moon Empire and one of the youngest officers in its history. She was the leader of the unit defeated by Ren (Book VII, Chapter 6). She is taken Jupiter during the confrontation in the old royal palace on Cignus (Book VIII, Chapter 3). Evea Uleis maternal grandmother (Book VI, Chapter 9) Galen see Cross, Galen. Ganymede the protector of the Jupiter Sailor Soldiers. His true identity is Paul Rodan (Book I, Chapter 3). He appears throughout the series. Grayson human-shaped glob monster encountered by the Jupiter Sailor Soldiers while on Charon. They initially appeared in Book I, Chapter 4. Greg the Prince of Mercury and the husband of Ami. They have a daughter, Camilla (Book III, Chapter 4). Greven an old enemy of Carinas, whom she bet out for a promotion (Book VII, Chapter 6). Guardians of Cignus the individuals entrusted in protecting the House of Light and Cignus. Each Guardian has a respective virtue and color. The past of each Guardian is fairly mysterious. Information about the Guardians appears in Book II and continues throughout the series. Hadrian son of Hecate and heir to the throne of the Shadow Moon Empire (Book VII, Chapter 6). Haruka the Sailor of Uranus and the Princess of Uranus. She is romantically involved with Michiru. She initially appears in Book III, Chapter 9. Haruna the teacher of Serena and Molly (Book II, Chapter 6). Hasod a Shadow Moon soldier who participates in the capture of Ulei and her family (Book VI, Chapter 9). Hecate the name taken by Amalthea once she emerged as the Child of Darkness (Book V, Chapter 9). She is the Empress of the Shadow Moon Empire and was defeated by Leda outside the Jovian capital (Book IV, Chapter 9). Hotaru the Sailor of Saturn and the Princess of Saturn. Unlike the other Outer Sailor Soldiers, she visits Crystal Tokyo often. She is particularly close to Rini. She initially appears in Book III, Chapter 9. Hyperion the captain of the royal guard of Cignus and the husband of Clytie, the Guardian of Love. He is mentioned in Book V, Chapter 3 and appears in Chapter 8. Ilene the daughter of Lita and Rand Treavor. She is Sailor Io, using the powers of earth (Book I, Chapter 1). She is married to Adam and they have a daughter, Adrastea. She becomes ill (Book VI, Chapter 1), prompting the journey to Cignus. She appears throughout the series. Inner Sailor Soldiers the Sailor of Mercury, Venus, the Moon, Mars, and Jupiter. Iphigenia the Guardian of History and the youngest of the Guardians of Cignus. Wielding the Orb of History, she can reveal the past. She first appears in Book IV, Chapter 3 and appears throughout the rest of the series. Jaten advisor to Hadrian (Book VII, Chapter 8). Jupiter Love Crystal crystal formed from the combination of the Jupiter Moon Crystal and Ledas heart crystal (Book II, Chapter 10). Jupiter Moon Crystal source of Ledas powers and was created from her mothers transformation pen (Book I, Chapter 1). Jupiter Sailor Soldiers -- the Sailor Soldiers of Jupiter: Jupiter, Jupiter Moon, Callisto, Io, Lysithea, and Europa. Ganymede, their protector, could possibly be included as well. Latona the Guardian of Joy and the headmaster of the school responsible for the training of the royal children of Cignus (Book V, Chapter 3). Scylla kills her during the attack on the palace (Chapter 8). Leda the only child of Lita and Logan, gifted with visions and a powerful sixth sense (Book I, Chapter 1/Chronicles: Frightening Possibilities). She is the heir to both Jupiter and Cignus. She has three Sailor forms: Sailor Leda (Chapter 1), Neo-Sailor Jupiter (Chapters 1, 4), and Sailor Jupiter Moon (Chapter 9). She is married to Paul Rodan and rules Jupiter with him (Book V, Chapter 1). She has no children (Book IV, Epilogue). She appears throughout the series. Also see Chronicles: A Time to Dance and Power Play. Letov Uleis father (Book VI, Chapter 9). Lita the original Sailor Jupiter and the Princess of Jupiter. She was married to Logan and had her daughter, Leda, the heir to the throne of Jupiter. After Logan died, she remarried to Rand Trevor, captain of the guard. She had four more daughters: Caitlyn, Ilene, Lysia, and Elara. She died in battle against Nadomus on Charon (Book I, Chapter 1/Chronicles: Frightening Possibilities). She appears in Book II, Chapter 6. Logan the name taken by Adonis once he reached Crystal Tokyo (Book V, Chapter 10). He married Lita and had a daughter Leda. It is unclear if Lita knew of his past (Chronicles: Frightening Possibilities). Luna the feline guardian of the original Sailor Soldiers, particularly Serena. She is the wife of Artemis and the mother of Diana (Book III, Chapter 9). She initially appears in Book II, Chapter 6). Lysia the daughter of Lita and Rand Treavor. She is Sailor Lysithea, wielding the powers of ocean (Book I, Chapter 1). She is married Dylan but they have no children (Book IV, Chapter 5). She appears throughout the series. Marpessa the Guardian of Wisdom and the second-in-command of the Guardians of Cignus (Book V, Chapter 3). Martin, Benedict a Jupiter subject very loyal to Princess Leda, who serves as a trouble maker and covert spy (Book VII, Chapter 9). He helps Caitlyn and Alex escape fromt he Mayoral Place (Book VIII, Chapter 6). Also, see Chronicles: Power Play. Martin, Charity younger sister of Benedict Martin who helps in the escape of Caitlyn and Alex from the Mayoral Place (Book VIII, Chapter 6). Mayoral Council council of all the mayors of Jupiters districts, which brings issues before the Princess. It is currently is headed by Mayor Naffid (Book VII, Chapter 7). She is a leader among the resistance against the Shadow Moon Empire on Cignus. She is a descendant of Alcyon, Guardian of Harmony (Book VII, Chapter 5). She is romantically involved with Ren (Chapter 5). Melvin the boyfriend of Molly (Book II, Epilogue). Michael the Prince of Venus and the husband of Mina. He is also the father of Angeline (Book III, Chapter 5). Michiru the Sailor of Neptune and the Princess of Neptune. She is romantically involved with Haruka. She initially appears in Book III, Chapter 9. Miller, Reese the previous romantic interest of Elara. He returned to Crystal Tokyo after the relationship ended (Book V, Chapter 4). Mina the Princess of Venus and the wife of Michael. She is also Sailor Venus and the mother of Angeline (Book III, Chapter 5). She initially appears in Book II, Chapter 6. Molly the school friend of Serena and carrier of the Stone of Hope (Book II, Chapter 6). Sailor Moon retrieved it from her with the aid of the Silver Crystal (Chapter 9). Monea see Melion, Harmonea Fayea Nadomus the son of Werla and general of the Shadow Moon Empire. He killed Lita on Charon and lured the Jupiter Sailors there. Leda defeats him as the Princess of Jupiter (Book I, Chapter 10). As a reward for defeating Lita, he is resurrected (Book IV, Chapter 2). Ganymede defeats him outside the Jovian capital (Book IV, Chapter 9). Naffid mayor of one of Jupiters districts and current head of the Mayoral Council (Book VII, Chapter 7). Outer Sailor Soldiers the Sailor Soldiers of Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. Paul see Rodan, Paul. Phoebe the daughter of Rei and the twin sister of Diana (Book III, Chapter 6). She is Sailor Mulciber (Chapter 9). Rand see Treavor, Rand. Redolarian Sleeping Curse a curse from Cignus that requires knowledge of both herbs and magic that is inflicted upon Ilene (Book VI, Chapter 2). Reese see Miller, Reese. Rei the Princess of Mars and mother of Diana and Phoebe (Book III, Chapter 3). She is Sailor Mars and a Shinto priestess. The father of the twins is unknown. She initially appears in Book II, Chapter 6. Ren a resistance fighter on Cignus and lover of Monea (Book VII, Chapter 5). Rhea the Queen of Cignus and mother of Adonis and Amalthea. She and her husband Chronus were killed due to Hecates attack on Cignus (Book V, Chapters 8-9). Riel the god of wisdom and vision on Cignus, who provides Cassandra with her visions (Book VI, Chapter 9). He is a strong force in her past (Book VII, Chapter 3). Rini the daughter of Neo-Queen Serenity and King Endymion. She becomes Neo-Sailor Moon in Book III, Chapter 9. Rodan, Paul protector of the Jupiter Sailor Soldiers (Book I, Chapter 3). He is married to Leda and the two rule Jupiter (Book V, Chapter 1). He grew up as an orphan (Book IV, Chapter 10) at the palace and was a childhood friend of Leda (Book II, Chapter 1). They have no children (Book IV, Chapter 10). He initially appears in Book I, Chapter 2. Also see Chronicles: A Time To Dance and Power Play. Sailor Boreas the Sailor Soldier of the North Wind. The true identity of Sailor Boreas is Camilla of Mercury (Book III, Chapter 9). Sailor Callisto the Sailor Soldier of the Nighttime Sky and one of the Jupiter Sailor Soldiers. The true identity of Sailor Callisto is Caitlyn (Book I, Chapter 1). Sailor Europa the Sailor Soldier of Healing and one of the Jupiter Sailor Soldiers. The true identity of Sailor Europa is Elara (Book I, Chapter 1). Sailor Eros the Sailor Soldier of Light and Love. The true identity of Sailor Eros is Angeline of Venus (Book III, Chapter 9). Sailor Io the Sailor Soldier of Earth and one of the Jupiter Sailor Soldiers. The true identity of Sailor Io is Ilene (Book I, Chapter 1). Sailor Jupiter the Sailor Soldier of Thunder and Lightning and one of the original Sailor Soldiers. Lita was the original Sailor Jupiter. Leda has the title of Neo-Sailor Jupiter (Book I, Chapters 1, 4). Sailor Jupiter Moon the Sailor Soldier of Jupiter and its satellites. In this form, Leda can combine the attacks of the other Jupiter Sailor Soldiers with the attacks of Sailor Jupiter. This is Ledas most powerful Sailor form (Book I, Chapter 9). Sailor Leda the Sailor Soldier of Storms and one of the Jupiter Sailor Soldiers. This is the weakest Sailor form of Leda (Book I, Chapter 1). Sailor Lysithea the Sailor Soldier of Water and Oceans and one of the Jupiter Sailor Soldiers. The true identity of Sailor Lysithea is Lysia (Book I, Chapter 1). Sailor Mercury the Sailor Soldier of Ice and one of the original Sailor Soldiers. The true identity of Sailor Mercury is Ami (Book II, Chapter 9). Sailor Mars the Sailor Soldier of Fire and one of the original Sailor Soldiers. The true identity of Sailor Mars is Rei (Book II, Chapter 9). Sailor Minerva the Sailor Soldier of Wisdom and Just Battle. The true identity of Sailor Minerva is Diana of Mars (Book III, Chapter 9). Sailor Moon the Sailor Soldier of the Moon and the leader of the original Sailor Soldiers. The true identity of Sailor Moon is Serena (Book II, Chapter 9). The title was later passed on to Rini as Neo-Sailor Moon (Book III, Chapter9). Sailor Mulciber the Sailor of the Forge. The true identity of Sailor Mulciber is Phoebe of Mars (Book III, Chapter 9). Sailor Plutothe mysterious Sailor Soldier of Pluto, the Guardian of the Gates of Time. The true identity of Sailor Pluto is Setsuna (Book III, Chapter 9). Sailor Saturn the Sailor Soldier of Death and Rebirth and one of the original Sailor Soldiers. Her true identity is Hotaru (Book III, Chapter 9). Sailor Uranus the Sailor Soldier of the Heavens. Her true identity is Haruka (Book III, Chapter 9). Sailor Venus the Sailor Soldier of Love and one of the original Sailor Soldiers. The true identity of Sailor Venus is Mina (Book II, Chapter 9). Scylla the Guardian of Mercy and the twin sister of Dido. She was entrusted with the protection of Amalthea and had a strong emotional connection with the princess of Cignus (Book V, Chapter 1). Along with her sister, she is an outcast among the clans of Cignus (Book VI, Chapter 9). As the Guardian of Mercy, she has strong empathetic powers and a particularly strong tie with Dido. She initially appears in Book IV, Chapter 4 and the rest of the series. She was under the control of the Shadow Moon (Book V, Chapter 8) but was cured (and resurrected) after her death by Leda (Book IV, Chapter 9). She disappears in Book VII, Chapter 10 but she re-emerges in Book VIII, Chapter 2. Serena Sailor Moon and the younger form of Neo-Queen Serenity. She initially appears in Book II, Chapter 3. Serenity ruler of Crystal Tokyo (and the Sol system) with her husband, King Endymion (Book I, Chapter 1). They have a daughter, Rini (Book III, Chapter 9). Using the power of the Silver Crystal, she is able to defend her kingdom (Book II, Chapter 10). When she was younger, she was Serena/Sailor Moon (Chapter 3). Setsuna the Sailor of Pluto and the Princess of Pluto. As Sailor Pluto, she is the Guardian of Time and guards its gate (Book III, Chapter 9). Shadow Moon Empire the empire ruled by Hecate, the Child of Darkness. This includes the Cignus system but the true extent of the empire is unknown. It is first mentioned in Book III, Chapter 3. Silver Crystal the source of power of Sailor Moon/Neo-Queen Serenity. It was used by Sailor Moon to retrieve the Stone of Hope from Molly (Book II, Chapter 9). Stone of Hope the talisman of Sailor Europa retrieved by Sailor Moon from Molly. This stone increases the healing powers of Sailor Europa (Book II, Chapters 9-10). Thebe the daughter of Caitlyn and Alexander. She is named as Ledas heir during Book VI, Chapter 5. Leda tells her the story of the downfall of Cignus in Book V. Themis the Guardian of Justice (Book V, Chapter 3). Treavor, Rand the captain of the royal guard of Jupiter and the second husband of Lita. He had four daughters with Lita: Caitlyn, Ilene, Lysia, and Elara. After Litas disappearance, he turned the Jovian government over to his stepdaughter, Leda (Book I, Chapter 1). He lives on the forest moon, Ananke. He appears in Books II and IV. Ulei the young girl who is the subject of a dream Leda had while on Cignus. She is an Aylire and because of those powers, she and her family are taken (Book VI, Chapter 9). Vailis servant at Neo-Queen Serenitys court (Book II, Chapter 10). Werla the healing sage of Cignus that Amalthea trained under (Book V, Chapter 1). Her son, Nadomus, served as a general in the Shadow Moon Empire (Book I, Chapter 4). She appears in Book VII, Chapter 8. Words of the Kingdom the command in the royal language of Cignus used by the Child of Light to defeat the Child of Darkness (Book IV, Chapter 6).
